I am Tiffiny, I live in Napier with my husband Brendan. We eloped in 2023 and I have become a champion of the small wedding! Or rather, the wedding you want rather than the wedding you think you should have. If your dream is the big day then go for it.

I am an experienced public speaker and after my own wedding decided that I would love to use my skills support other couples into marriage.

In my free time I enjoy bike rides, paper crafts, coffee with friends or a good murder mystery novel. I am happy to offer a free, no-obligation in person meeting or zoom to have a chat and see if I am the right fit for you.

When should we book a celebrant?

As soon as you know your date.

Can you provide a PA system?

Yes, I have a portable PA system I can bring at no extra charge.

Can we write our own vows?

Yes! We can personalise your ceremony how ever you like, there are a few things you legally have to say ( 2-3 mins) and the rest we can come up with together. I have some vow writing prompts that I can send you if you need help!

We are a same sex couple, will you marry us?

Of course

Do I need to organise a marriage licence?

Yes, you will need to apply for a marriage licence online from Births, Deaths and Marriages. It will cost $150 NZD and takes three working days to process. It will be emailed to you and is valid for three months. It is possible to apply from outside New Zealand.

Who can be a witness?

Anyone can be a witness at a marriage or civil union ceremony who understands what the ceremony is about and could explain their understanding in court later if necessary.

Can you arrange witnesses for me?

Yes I can, but I would ask you to provide them with a koha (gift) for their time.

What do I change my name to?

You don’t have to change you name at all. If you wish to, you can change your last name to your partners, add their name or hyphenate both with just a marriage certificate.

If you want to keep your last name as a middle name you will need to do so by deed poll.

Do I have to sign in my new name?

No, you must sign the licence in your current legal name
